We started our Charter Celebration with the 10:00 AM Mass at St. Columbkille with Fr. David Schatz as our Pastor and Presider. He was assisted by Deacon Bill Biver. The Scouts processed in and had reserved pews
Curtis and Tammi DeWolf, representing the National Catholic Committee on Scouting presented the Religious Emblem sqaure knot to Jude Dodds, Cooper DeMoss and Peter Klapatauskas. The first three to receive this emblem as new members of Pack 13.
On the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima on October 13th, 1917, Deacon Travis King leads all present in Presentation Hall in the solemn consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as the model and protectress of the newly formed Pack and Troop 13 as well as all of the families that make up the new Pack and Troop.
For our Charter Presentation luncheon we ordered from Hy-Vee a multi-meat and cheese sandwich bar with fruit, chips and salad. For dessert we had a three tier cake made by Candle Ready Cakes in Dubuque.

All Scouts that registered with Pack and Troop 13 prior to December 31st, 2019 are considered founding members of the new units. We presented founder wall certificates and patches to each scout that was present. The presentation was made by District Executive, Sarah Brimeyer and Council Representative, Rick Luete.

Are you ready to join in the fun of the Cub-A-Ree 2024? This year we will be participating in the Infinity Games at Swiss Valley Park on Saturday, October 19th from 12 to 4 PM. Following the Cub-A-Ree we will be camping overnight at Swiss Valley as a Pack. Please click on the following link to register to attend this year's Cub-A-Ree at the Council website and RSVP so that we can get a total count for camping. Scouts are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Avenger. Get ready for a day filled with fun and activities that will help your Scout advance in their rank. Avengers assemble!
